Global Numbers are used to create integrated number series throughout a network of AlphaCom exchanges. A Global Number is a directory number which points to a station/feature in a remote exchange. The number is stored locally in each exchange including name, thus appearing in the name list.  
  
This feature is dialed from Idle station.

When dialling the Global Number the number is recognised locally, and the exchange establishes an AlphaNet audio link to the remote exchange, and dials the same directory number into the remote exchange, thus creating a conversation or activating a feature. The globally accessible station/feature must have the same directory number locally in it's own exchange.

This feature appears to the end user to be the remote counterpart of the [[Call local station feature]].

The [[AlphaNet#Cluster_node_programming|Cluster functionality]] in AlphaPro is useful to manage Global Numbers, provided that all exchanges are managed from the same AlphaPro database.
  
Technically, this feature is more related to [[Call remote exchange feature]]. Dial the remote number to get a audio connection to an other exchange. Then the digits dialed for this feature are transfered to the remote exchange, and  handled as if it was a local number in the remote exchange.

Typical usage is that dirno NNNN is defined as a [[Call local station feature]] in exhange XX. Then in all other exchanges, define dirno NNNN  as Call remote station feature with Param = XX. Fortunally, AlphaPro can help you to manage this, provided you manage all exchanges from the same AlphaPro database.

Description: Call a remote station or feature within an AlphaNet, or access to a SIP device.
