Fault Management (Zenitel Connect)
From Zenitel Wiki

The Fault Management page displays faults detected by the Zenitel Connect server.
Zenitel Connect continuously supervises system resources, including intercom stations and IP speakers, trunk connections to external systems such as IP-PBXs, IP telephony platforms, Zenitel Connect Net, and ICX-AlphaCom systems. In addition to communication and availability faults, the page also reports operational faults such as Tone Test and Button Test failures, and failures related to the delivery of live or pre-recorded broadcast announcements.
All detected faults are listed in the Fault Management page.
If a supervised resource fails to respond, becomes unavailable, or loses communication with the Zenitel Connect server, a fault is generated and typically reported within 30 seconds. Detected faults are listed on the Fault Management page.
Fault entries remain visible even after the underlying problem has been resolved. This allows operators to review recent system events and verify that faults have been addressed.
Each fault can be acknowledged individually using the Acknowledge button. If the fault has already been resolved, the entry will be removed from the list when acknowledged. If the fault is still active, it will remain in the list until the condition has been corrected. Multiple faults can be acknowledged simultaneously by selecting the desired fault entries and clicking the Acknowledge Selected button in the toolbar.
Selecting a fault entry opens a details panel on the right-hand side of the page. The panel provides additional information about the selected fault, including its severity, affected resource, description, time raised, acknowledgement status, and clearance time. Faults can also be acknowledged directly from this panel.
The Duration column shows how long a fault was active before it was resolved. For faults that are still present, the value is displayed as Ongoing.
The Fault Management page updates automatically, and there is no need to manually refresh the page.

Fault Indicator
Active faults are also indicated by a warning icon
in the banner at the top of the Zenitel Connect web interface. The number displayed next to the icon indicates the total number of active faults.
Clicking the warning icon opens a summary of the latest faults, allowing the operator to quickly review fault conditions without navigating to the Fault Management page. Faults can also be acknowledged directly from this popup.

Maintenance Lock
Administrative Lock (Maintenance Lock) is used to place a intercom device in maintenance mode. While a device is locked, faults generated by that device are suppressed and do not appear as active alarms. This allows maintenance work to be carried out without generating unnecessary fault indications.
Fault monitoring continues while the device is locked, and normal fault reporting is restored when the lock is removed.
Enabling the Maintenance Lock Column
To place a device in or out of maintenance mode, the Maintenance Lock column must first be displayed.
- Navigate to Devices and Connections > Configuration
- Click the Show/Hide Columns icon
- Enable Maintenance Lock.

Locking or Unlocking a Device
Once the Maintenance Lock column is visible, you can change the lock state of individual devices directly from the device list.
- Green check mark
: The device is in Maintenance Lock (locked). - Red cross
: The device is operating normally (unlocked).
When a device is placed in Maintenance Lock, a lock icon
is displayed in the Operational Status column. The lock state ("Administrative state") is also shown in a tooltip when hovering over the operational status indicator.

Additional Information
- All timestamps in the Fault Management page are displayed in UTC.
- Only users with Administrator privileges can acknowledge faults and change the Maintenance Lock status. Users with Read-Only privileges can view active faults but cannot make any changes.
- Fault history is recorded in the System Log.
- Operator actions, such as fault acknowledgements and Maintenance Lock changes, are recorded in the Audit Log.
- Deleting a device or trunk automatically removes any active faults associated with that resource. Historical records remain available in the logs.
- WebRTC device is not monitored.
- Fault Management is supported as from software version 1.11.
