File Transfer Tool
From Zenitel Wiki
The File Transfer Tool (FTT) is launched from the toolbar of the PAVA System Configuration Tool, marked by the "F" icon. It sits alongside the Router Dynamic Tool (RDT) and Amplifier Dynamic Tool (ADT) as one of the SCT's device communication tools.
Where the SCT itself is used to build and edit a system configuration offline, the FTT is what connects that configuration to the hardware. It provides four main functions:
- Write SCT Configuration: send the configuration you've built in the SCT down to the connected devices.
- Read SCT Configuration: retrieve the configuration currently held on the system, so you can verify what's actually loaded or recover config from live hardware.
- Update node IP settings: change the network addressing of connected devices.
- Time Synchronisation: align the system clocks across devices to your PC's cock.
- Security Settings: to ensure only intended users are able to access the System Configuration
In practice it's the tool you use at the point of commissioning or after any configuration change: build in the SCT, then write with the FTT; and read back with the FTT when you need to confirm what's on the system.
