Version 1.10.0

New features

Zenitel Connect Essential licensing was added

Support for new version 10 of device software

Call to noisy area - volume boost

Fixed issues

ZEN-2686 Enforced authentication for inbound SIP requests on External Communication trunks with outbound registration (if inbound authentication was configured)

Note: If the IP telephony provider did not support authenticating to an external system (i.e., ZCP inbound), outbound credentials needed to be entered in the ZCP trunk configuration, and the inbound password left blank. On upgrade from earlier versions, this had to be manually adjusted if needed.

ZEN-2444 When using the ZIPS-C speaker in simplex mode (remote press to talk), broadcasts did not work

The workaround was to take the speaker out of simplex mode by unselecting the "Simplex - Remote Press To Talk" setting.

ZEN-2441 In rare cases the ICX-510 could not be upgraded

Bad blocks on the kernel storage partition reduced the available layout size, leaving insufficient space for the kernel. Compressing the kernel reduced its footprint and provided better tolerance for bad blocks.

ZEN-2287 When performing initial setup discovery using static IP on devices with an IMX28 CPU took long time for the device to become fully operational

The device became operational but it could take around 10 minutes. Affected device list

ZEN-2286 In version 1.9.0 it was not possible to import the address book using the excel import function

Issue is resolved.

ZEN-2164 Configuring an ITSV as a broadcast receiver required a reboot of the ITSV

If configuring multiple broadcast groups, the ITSV did not apply the config before it was rebooted.

ZEN-2163 If an ITSV was offline when configuration changes were made, the changes needed to be re-applied

The ITSV did not automatically update the new configurations that were made in Zenitel Connect Pro after it came back online.

ZEN-2135 On rare occasions, ITSVs did not factory default when removed from Zenitel Connect Web

The workaround was to manually factory default the device by selecting Settings → System Security → Factory Reset.

ZEN-1948 It was not possible to use Directory Services numbers when calling in from an IP-telephony number

This is fixed.

ZEN-1659 When starting a broadcast call in Zenitel Connect Pro initiated from a trunk there is no ding dong sound played

For local broadcast there is an initial ding dong sound played before the broadcast begins. This is fixed.

ZEN-1185 It was not possible to make Broadcast calls when calling in from an IP-telephony connection

This is fixed.

Known issues

ZEN-2803 The use of 802.1X to control the access to device networks does not work in version 1.10.0

Due to new more secure commissioning mechanism there is an issue using 802.1X, as Zenitel Connect Pro overwrites the pre-configured values with defaults.

ZEN-2774 It may take a long time for an ITSV to pair with Zenitel Connect Pro after the ITSV was manually factory defaulted

If an ITSV was factory reset from its Device gui it takes a long time to pair again with Zenitel Connect Pro. To speed this up, the ITSV needs to be deleted from the Zenitel Connect Pro device list and then be set up again. Workaround: Take a backup, then delete it from the Zenitel Connect Pro configuration, and restore backup

ZEN-2758 After an upgrade, backup and restore is performed devices can end up in not operational state

To bring devices back to operational, perform a new scan in Zenitel Connect Pro Web and then reboot the system.

ZEN-2754 If system time is set to a date prior to the JWT token send to devices during commissioning, devices can start continuously rebooting

This occurs right after an ICX-510 system start up without NTP server connection. The system date is then set to 2024. To remedy the issue, either make certain that the system can connect to an NTP server, or manually set the correct date and time.

ZEN-2726 When upgrading devices from version 10 using Zenitel Connect Pro web, sometimes reboot is required

There is no workaround.

ZEN-2720 Issues with accessing ETH0 from the network as the server is routing traffic back out via ETH1

When using eth0 and eth1 for specific purposes the routing cannot be configured and might cause issues setting up the desired uses.

ZEN-2769 Bug where Cloud connection is not possible to activate after factory defaulted Zenitel Connect Pro system

If the system and devices were connected in RMM when factory defaulting Zenitel Connect Pro, the cloud can think it is already claimed by the previous version.

ZEN-2248 Issue with removing devices from the Zenitel Cloud RMM without removing them from Zenitel Connect device list

If a device is removed from the Zenitel Cloud RMM but it is still existing in the Connect setup it needs to be deleted from the connect setup as well to get the RMM to start working properly with this device again.

ZEN-2158 When using Zenitel Connect Core and changing to use a NTS host, sometimes the time is not updated

When switching to use NTS sometimes the actual time is not synched on VM’s. To remedy this situation reboot Zenitel Connect after changing source.

ZEN-796 Cannot replace a device by importing devices via the Excel spreadsheet

When in the Devices and Connections - Configuration menu and selecting Import from Excel. If the imported list has the same directory number as one of the currently configured devices but with a different MAC address the old device is kept

Until this is fixed update the device manually in Connect Web

ZEN-752 Several PAVA functions require the use of # and * which is present on ITSV keyboards.

This is good to keep in mind when designing a new system with PAVA integration. There is also the option to use API.

ZEN-649 TLS SIP Trunk towards CUCM does not set up properly

There are issues exchanging certificates to get this secure communication working, workaround is to use TCP or UDP.

ZEN-2263 When importing a system using the excel there is a risk stations will not get operational

The workaround is to log into device web and reboot the device or delete it from the configuration in Connect Web.

DS-1778 When upgrading an older IMX28 device the flash on the device might not have enough room

To work around this issue install Exigo 1.2.0.1 Recovery OS and then continue upgrading.
