Version 1.8.0

New features

Support for connection to Zenitel Cloud RMM

Fixes issues

ZEN-1951 After free license expired the user was locked out of connect web

The user was prevented from logging into the system after the license expired. There is no simple workaround to this issue, call support or restore from backup.

ZEN-1950 Application error shown when pressing system info and thereafter devices button

There was no known workaround and the issue is now fixed.

ZEN-1946 If ZCP had non default hostname and strict network policies the system might have stopped to function

There was an issue with the SIP module not always updating to the changed hostname and presented default hostname at the same time the rest of the system presented an updated hostname. Workaround was to change back to a default hostname or relax network requirements temporarely.

Known issues

ZEN-2033 Issue when registering a larger system with Zenitel Cloud RMM

A Zenitel Connect Pro system with more than 50 connected/configured devices will fail to properly register with the RMM. As a workaround, the system can be activated (Enable cloud connection in Connect Web) with less than 50 devices connected/configured and then claimed in the RMM. After this, additional devices can be added to the Zenitel Connect Pro system

ZEN-1997 When restoring a backup the cloud connection needs to set up again

The backup of existing cloud connection is not implemented and will come in a future release.

ZEN-1955 If importing more than 200 devices into ICX510 which is the max, the import process will get stuck

Reload connect web and lower the amount of devices to work around this issue

ZEN-1873 When enabling cloud the enable cloud connection button does not always work

If you select the Cloud Connection menu in Connect Web and press the enable cloud connection button sometimes nothing happens. Note that you also need an account with Zenitel cloud solution to make use of the cloud connection.

The workaround is to refresh the page and press the button again.

ZEN-1868 Reclaiming already claimed devices does not always work

Before factory reset or claiming on another system delete the devices in the cloud.

It can mostly be solved by manually deleting the devices in the RMM “Devices” section. The missing devices can be found by MAC address

In rare cases they might not be possible to reclaimed, contact Zenitel and the devices will be made claimable again.

ZEN-1812 When importing a system using the excel there is a risk stations will not get operational

The workaround is to log into device web and reboot the device or delete it from the configuration in Connect Web.

ZEN-1789 When using directory services on devices with displays, the text is too long and might be cut off

In the future the wording is intended to be revised to be more compact to better suit the full range of displays

ZEN-1738 Directory services service codes does not check permissions

When calling directory services using the service code method the initial call is not permission checked. When calling using a directory number the permissions are checked.

ZEN-1726 When editing existing call services the priorities of the different permissions might change causing unexpected behavior

The order the different permission lines are evaluated in might change if they are modified. If editing an existing call service check that the behavior is as expected or enter it from scratch

ZEN-1659 When starting a broadcast call in Zenitel Connect Pro initiated from a trunk there is no ding dong sound played

For local broadcast there is an initial ding dong sound played before the broadcast begins. There is currently no workaround for this issue.

ZEN-1636 When using call queues with different priority levels, incoming high-priority calls may in rare cases cause incorrect call assignment if answered very quickly

Due to the current software implementation, when the queue is being reshuffled to accommodate the new priority call, pressing the button to accept a call may occasionally result in receiving the wrong call or no call at all, depending on the exact timing of the reshuffling.

ZEN-796 Cannot replace a device by importing devices via the Excel spreadsheet

When in the Devices and Connections - Configuration menu and selecting Import from Excel. If the imported list has the same directory number as one of the currently configured devices but with a different MAC address the old device is kept

Until this is fixed update the device manually in Connect Web

ZEN-752 Several PAVA functions require the use of # and * which is present on ITSV keyboards.

This is good to keep in mind when designing a new system with PAVA integration. There is also the option to use API.

ZEN-649 TLS SIP Trunk towards CUCM does not set up properly

There are issues exchanging certificates to get this secure communication working, workaround is to use TCP or UDP.

DS-1538 Some IPVRS-1 devices are not detected correctly in Zenitel Connect Pro and will display an error message on scan, but works correctly

The device shows up as an “TKIE-1/2” in the device list and a warning message saying “Mismatched device types found” is displayed on scan.

To fix this set the correct sub-id using the newest VS-Tools
