Configuration of the ZDD-1 (Edge/SIP)

This article describes configurations that are specific to the ZDD-1 intercom when used in SIP mode or Edge mode.
GUI Settings
Log in to the ZDD-1 and navigate to the GUI Settings.
General Settings

- Screen: Define the screen size and the aspect ratio of the output on the device display

- Theme: Options are:
- Light: Standard light theme. Six entries per page. (Default theme)
- Dark: Standard dark theme. Six entries per page.
- Custom: Enables an option to customize the Background color.
- Light Compact: Light theme for display, with compact elements. Eight entries per page.
- Language: Sets the language for the text in the display. Available languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Note: The language in the web interface will not change.
- Time Format: Select if the time shown in the top right corner of the display should be in 12 or 24 hour format.
- Show Time: Enable (default) or disable time being displayed in the top right corner of the display.
- Show Address Search: When enabled a search bar is available for searching in the address book.
- Use Custom Background Image: Use a custom image when enabled
- Background Image: Upload a background image. The file formats .jpg and .png are accepted. Max file size is 2.0MB.
Display Video
The ZDD-1 Door Intercom supports two-way video.

- Enable Far End Video: When enabled the display will show video from the other party during a call.
- Display Video Mode: Select how the video from the remote device should be presented:
- Add black margins proportionally (default): The device will display video in its original proportion, but if there are empty spaces, the device will add black edge to it.
- Original Proportion: Display the video in its original proportion. If the video display proportion is different from the one of the device, the device will stretch or compress video to display it.
- Cut proportionally: The device will cut video to meet its own display proportion.

Display Headers
ZDD-1 offers an option to show a Header and a Subheader providing two lines of text in the top left corner of the display. This can typically be Company name and Address.

Address Book
In the Address Book section under the "GUI Settings", press the "+" button to "Add New Entry":
- Name: Is the main label of the entry
- Location: Is a sub-label in smaller fonts (optional)
- Number: The extension number to dial when the entry is pressed
- Ringlist: An option to call using the RingList of the station. This is typically used if there is a need to call multiple stations in sequence or in parallel. The RingList is configured from the Direct Access Key settings.
- Select Logo: One can upload an image for the entry. In the station display the image will appear at the right side of the entry. The file must be in .svg format.
- Delete Logo: Deletes the image
Use the UP and DOWN arrows to the left of the entry to move the entry up or down in the list, and the Recycle Bin icon to delete an entry.

The ZDD-1 supports up to 100 entries.
Display
Log in to the ZDD-1 and navigate to the Display setting.
Brightness Mode Settings
When Brightness Mode is set to Manual, one can adjust the Brightness with a slider from 0 (off) to 100. The value 50 is default.
When Brightness Mode is set to Automatic, the brightness is controlled by the sensor on the front panel, and will adjust automatically according to ambient brightness. When enabling Advanced Configuration mode one get the following options in addition:
- Brightness Offset: Adjust the deviation from the automatic brightness level in the range -99 to +99. Default value = 0.
- Brightness Levels: Allows choosing the granularity of the automatic brightness levels in the range 5 to 20. A bigger number means more gradual brightness transitions. Default value = 5.
- Transition Delay: Time between a sudden brightness change in front of the sensor and the corresponding brightness adjustment. Range: 1 to 10 seconds. Default = 1 second.

Display Timeout Settings
- Display Timeout: When enabled the display will go to "sleep mode" after a preset time. When the display goes to sleep, one can choose to reduce the brightness, and/or to show the background image:
- Enable Timeout Brightness: When enabled the display will change the brightness when going to sleep mode, the brightness will be according to the "Timeout Brightness" setting.
- Timeout Brightness: This sets the brightness level when the display goes to sleep (default = 5).
- Enable Background Overlay: When enabled the background image will be displayed when the display goes to sleep mode.
- Timeout: After a call is ended (or motion is not detected) the display will go to "sleep mode" after this time.
- Wake On Motion: When enabled the display will "wake up" when the sensor detects motion in front of the station. Note: The display will always wake up when touched.
- Maximum Detection Distance: Sets the max. distance for detecting the motion. Range is 0.5 to 2.0 meters (Default = 2m).
- Detection Sensitivity: Sets how sensitive the detection should be in 5 levels; Low, Medium Low, Medium, Medium High, High (default)
