Zenitel Connect

Zenitel Connect is a unified communication platform for managing Zenitel intercoms, IP speakers, public address systems, and related communication services from a single interface.

The platform provides centralized configuration, device management, call handling, system monitoring, and integration with third-party systems. It is designed for applications ranging from small standalone intercom systems to large multi-site critical communication deployments.

Zenitel Connect can be deployed on:

• ICX-510 hardware
• A virtual machine (VM) using the Zenitel Connect OVA image

Key capabilities include:

• Web-based configuration and administration
• Audio and video communication
• Centralized management of devices and users
• Secure communication with Zenitel devices
• Support for open standards such as SIP, ONVIF, and REST APIs
• Integration with third-party telephony, security, and building management systems
• Cloud-based remote monitoring and management

Platform Editions

Zenitel Connect is available in two editions:

• Zenitel Connect Essential
• Zenitel Connect Pro

Both editions use the same software platform and can be deployed on either ICX-510 hardware or a virtual machine.

The main differences are system capacity, supported integrations, and licensing requirements.

Zenitel Connect Essential

Zenitel Connect Essential is intended for smaller installations and provides core Zenitel Connect functionality without requiring purchased licenses.

Key characteristics:

• Supports up to 16 devices
• One external telephony connection (SIP trunk or IP telephony)
• One Zenitel Link user
• Supports Node-RED integration
• Supports Zenitel Cloud Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM)
• Available on ICX-510 and VM deployments
• Can be upgraded to Zenitel Connect Pro at any time

Limitations:

• Maximum 16 devices
• One SIP trunk or IP telephony connection
• One Zenitel Link user
• No Zenitel Connect Net support
• No ICX-AlphaCom integration
• No PAVA integration

Zenitel Connect Essential is supported from software version 1.10 and later.

Zenitel Connect Pro

Zenitel Connect Pro is the fully licensed edition of Zenitel Connect and is intended for medium and large installations.

Additional capabilities include:

• Increased system capacity
• Multiple SIP trunk and IP telephony connections
• Multiple Zenitel Link users
• Zenitel Connect Net support
• ICX-AlphaCom integration
• PAVA integration
• Distributed and multi-site deployments
• Expanded integration capabilities

The supported number of devices depends on the server platform and available virtual machine resources.

Licensing

Zenitel Connect uses a flexible licensing model based on system size and enabled functionality.

Zenitel Connect Essential can be used without purchased licenses within the supported system limits, while Zenitel Connect Pro requires licenses for connected devices and selected features.
