This article provides the release notes for ICX-500 and ICX-Core software 1.2.3.x with incremental bug fix releases. The release notes for ICX 1.2 describe new features, improvements and issues fixed after ICX 1.1.

General information

VSF-ICX-500 is a firmware archive for the ICX-500 Intelligent Gateway platform.

  • vsfx-1.2.3.x{-n}.swu - Used for standard in-field upgrades
  • vsfx-prod-1.2.3.x{n}.img.zip - Used in-field recovery and major system upgrades (SD-Card update)
  • vsfx-prod-1.2.3.x{n}.zip - Used in production upgrade only.

  • The first 4 numbers in version directly links to the the ICX-Core version.
  • The last optional "-n" number is added for vsfx build with only platform changes form the first ICX-Core build for vsfx.''


ICX-Core software is an "apt" installation package for Ubuntu 18.04.x LTS Server containing the same functional capabilities as the ICX-500 Intelligent Gateway platform.

  • ICX-Core-01.00-bionic-1.2.3.X.apt.tar - Used for installation from the Ubuntu shell or from ICX-Web on already running ICX-Core systems.

MTN-3950 Fixed the web page refresh issue.

Fixed the problem when refreshing the page, it now correctly refreshes to the same tab. Tabs now keep track of the active side menu item and will open it if you switch tabs.

MTN-3811 Fix issue where IPHA lost operational IP on cable hot swapping.

MTN-3836 Added new function $SMALL_RESET to simulate small reset sent from web

Will send proper shutdown signal and trigger system status messages, improvement on $RESET implementation.

MTN-3837 Added ZAP port in web firewall settings

MTN-3704 Fixed issue where noise was introduced after a voice message stopped playing

When a prerecorded voice message played there sometimes was a noticeable pop noise at the end of the playback.

MTN-3737 All ENA amplifiers now take the correct ENA license

The ENA amplifiers ENA-2200, ENA-2200-AC2 and ENA-2400-AC2 did not take the "ENA Amplifier" license.

MTN-3740 Fixed audio recording issue with outbound calls to SIP Trunk

MTN-3753 Fixed ICX-Core VM install script failure issue

An error message was displayed at the end of the installation of the ICX-Core software.

MTN-3770 When updating firmware on a registered device, the Noise Reduction value will now be kept

In previous versions the Noise Reduction would be disabled (the value set to 0 in the ICX-AlphaCom server) after firmware update of a device. This could be perceived as different audio quality after an upgrade of the device. This is now fixed, and the Noise Reduction value is kept in ICX-AlphaCom server after upgrading the firmware of a device.

It should now be possible to set an unreachable NTP server if needed for offline configuration.
