Reading/Writing the Router Dynamic Config

To ensure dynamic configuration consistency in the event a Vipedia-12 router needs to be swapped out, it is possible to read the current router dynamic config. The resulting back up can then be written to a new Vipedia-12 if required.

Reading Router Dynamic Config

  • Ensure your preferences are set to the correct laptop adapter which is on the same network as the Vipedia-12:
Selecting Correct Ethernet Adapter
  • Click the RDT icon (highlighted with the R symbol) to open the RDT:

Configuring Router Output Surveillance

1. Navigate to global settings and configure surveillance tone frequency as your requirements.

The default settings for configuring output surveillance from the Vipedia 12 outputs to a V2000 are as follows:

  • Under ‘Surveillance Generator 1’ select ‘20Hz’.
  • For each V2000 connected output, enable the surveillance tone generation by selecting ‘On’.
  • Set the Send Level of each of these outputs to -30dB.
  • Figure 5 highlights the relevant sections, with outputs 1 – 12 commissioned as an example.
  • Repeat for all VIPEDIA-12 outputs in the PAVA system that have connection to V2000.
  • Once all VIPEDIA-12s have been commissioned, click ‘Commit System Settings’.
  • This will permanently save the commissioned values into all VIPEDIA-12s.

Configuring Output Surveillance via the RDT
  • To check you have configured the Router Output surveillance correctly, you can check the Analogue IP (mV) level in the ADT.
