When used as PA interface some of the IP-ARIO inputs are used for reporting failure state of 1 or 2 amplifiers.
The IP Audio Remote I/O ('''IP-ARIO''') unit has a wide set of hardware functions. It can be used as:
*PA Interface over IP
*Radio Interface over IP
*Remote I/O unit over IP
*Remote AlphaCom RS232 port over IP

'''Software:'''
* AMC-IP version 11.2.3.1 or newer
* AlphaPro Version 11.2.3.0 or newer

The various IP-ARIO PA faults and states are reported as sub events on the line error event.
'''Server:'''
When fault state is reported OFF from IP-ARIO the fault state in AMCD will still be active until acknowledge and cleared by the user.
* AlphaCom server is required
* The IP-ARIO is not supported in Pulse or SIP mode.

A NVRAM structure is used for additional configurable elements.
== License Requirements ==
Configurable elements are:
* An [[Licenses#IP-ARIO_Audio_License|IP-ARIO Audio License]] is required in the AlphaCom when the audio part of IP-ARIO is used, i.e. when the IP-ARIO is used as PA interface or as a Mobile Radio interface.
*Default description text intended for use in fault mail to PA panels. The text are sent to event handler as %2.nam
* If only the I/O part of the IP-ARIO is used, no license is required. The AlphaCom will automatically recognize the unit as an IP-ARIO and allow it to register without a license.
*Default placement of status indication in the "DAK block" related to the PA interface. ([[IPARIO_Target#Default_Grouping_of_fault_state_on_CRM_DAK | DAK block]])
*Default priority used for fault mails. (Unique priority make it easy to remove specific fault from mail queues)
