Zenitel's VIPEDIA-12-NET combines high-quality professional audio processing with everything required for safe emergency voice alarm. It is suitable for small, medium and large-scale live sound as well as corporate, installation and many more applications. Integrated Secure Loop audio support make both centralised and IP distributed architectures easy to realise. Perfectly suited to centralised or distributed architectures, the VIPEDIA supports 12 analogue audio inputs, and 12 audio outputs, typically described as zones. All audio processing is through powerful dedicated digital signal processing (DSP) circuits.
Architectures
Vipedia-NET Card
The Vipedia-NET card is a small card located on the back of the Vipedia-12 unit which runs SUSE linux. It allows for large interconnected networks of Vipedia-12 units along with integrating other networked devices such as switches.
Here are some key features:
- Located at the rear of the Vipedia
- Provides a VIPA device hosted on Linux
- Directly connected to the Vipedia, via Ethernet and the internal digital audio bus.
- Configured using SCT except for more complex applications e.g. if microphones hosted on the Netcard). Fibre interface will also require addition of specified SFPs.
- Connected to other Vipedia Netcards via copper or fibre Ethernet
